Red Bank police say a South Street homeowner interrupted an attempted break-in of his house early yesterday afternoon.

The incident occurred at about 1:05p when the homeowner, who had been away from his home a short period, discovered an unknown male at the back door of his house, according to a press release from police spokesman Capt. Steve McCarthy.
Police later found that the suspect “had begun to gain entry” into the house.
The suspect took off and was last seen running east along Bergen Place.
He is described as a white male, about five-foot-seven, in his 20s or 30s, with a crew cut. He was wearing blue shorts and a blue shirt.

hunt him down and sentence him to the max.
Stealing from the homes of tax payers is horrid and should be stopped at all costs, as should taking from the pockets of all taxpayers.
Big city problems have been brought to what used to be our small and friendly town of Red Bank. My guess is they aren't going away — ever.
