Bruce Springsteen signs autographs outside the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank in May.
Report outta Denver today says Shore-based popstars Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi will play at the Democratic National Convention Thursday, bookending Sen. Barack Obama’s nomination acceptance speech at the 80,000-seat Invesco Field.
The Rocky Mountain News says
Multiple sources confirmed to the Rocky that Jon Bon Jovi will fly in to perform two acoustic songs before Sen. Barack Obama gives his acceptance speech at Invesco Field on Thursday night. After the speech, Bruce Springsteen will close out the night, presumably solo acoustic (E Street Band member Nils Lofgren told the Rocky last week that the band wouldn’t be with Springsteen in Denver).
Springsteen’s people have not returned multiple requests for comment.

nice job bruce….wonder why 1/2 your fans have fled?
I find it quite ironic that Springstain has become such a champion of the democrat party. His beloved little city of Asbury Park was put into a state of ruin by one party democrat rule for more than 50 years. Does Bruce miss the years of Ray Kramer taking every federal dollar he could to make the once resort town a welfare paradise. I believe it was Laura Ingram who said it best…….SHUT UP AND SING. Better yet don't bother singing Brucey your time has past.
Can the people of the Republican party be any more resentful or hate filled?
To be completely non-partisan: Bruce is awful. He is a whiny elitist who lost his last shred of dignity trying to make money off 9/11.
