Fortunately, we had file art on hand to save us another trip out to Hudson.
Remember those two-hour parking signs that replaced the ones put up just a few months ago? Of course you do; it happened just yesterday.
Well, today those signs were removed and replaced, this time by the signs that were posted last spring. And Public Utilities Director Gary Watson is taking the blame.
“It was my fault,” he says. “I take the hit.” He said he apologizes to the public for the confusion.
Watson declined to specify what impelled him to swap out the signs yesterday, but says he’s been “getting my ass chewed off all day.”
As for his assertion that Hudson and the handful of other borough streets designated for resident permit parking are also two-hour zones for non-residents, Watson is now deferring to borough attorney Tom Hall.
redbankgreen has a call into Hall. We’ll post his answer as we get it.
Meantime, says Watson, “if you see my ass out there running around, let me know… Oh well, tomorrow will be a better day.”

I would rather see his ass or anybody's ass out here issuing summonses, not replacing signs!
Hey LTR..you must live on Hudson. That's how to solve the problem..give everyone tickets. If the Mayor's Council would check on the law first, instead of listening to a few people (taxpayer's) putting pressure on the Council. Let's make a few people on Hudson ave. happy so they can make room in front of their houses so they can park their cars in their driveways. Everyone..does this make any sense???
No Where TO Park what a novel idea. Residents putting pressure on the Council to change an ordinance we could call it a Democracy. The next time Gary Watson can't make a decision I think we should cover the signs with recycled plastic bags from Foodtown instead of changing them. Or, when you park here you can put the bags over the sign closest to your car and avoid the ticket. Don't sweat it the people who write the tickets can't find Hudson Ave anyway.
In conclusion, we would be embracing the enviromaniacs who put pressure on the council to consider banning the use of plastic bags. Next,if possible Valet Parking for all Postal Workers and Hudson Ave residents, provided by Day Laborers Parking Service LLC and not pay a borough employee to correct a mistake or was it. Only Gary Watson knows. Will this issue soon be resolved? To find out, stay tuned for the next episode of "The Day the Sign Changed".
Over here in little silver ,we have a special night force to correct all these little town problems !
I don't have a comment. I'm just posting to bug the Laura??? guy.
