A recreational vessel speeds past the barge carrying the KaBoom Fireworks on the Navesink display as it nears the Oceanic Bridge en route to Red Bank Thursday afternoon.

A second barge is scheduled to anchor just west of the bridge early Friday morning. The two vessels serve as platforms for simultaneous fireworks displays just a few miles apart.
