High-octane Pete Burr and Glenn Saldarini in 2008.
Broad Street Filling Station, Red Bank’s best spot for lobster BLTs and more, got a nice got a nice review in Sunday’s New York Times Metro section.
We featured these guys a year ago on Red Bank oRBit, our food and entertainment sib site.
Have a bite of what the Times said:
At lunch, the best time to visit, the eclectic mix of options includes a black Angus cheeseburger on a sourdough roll ($8) and a grilled ahi tuna burger with citrus-wasabi aioli ($11). For lighter appetites, there’s an elegant mesclun and roasted pear salad with crisp haricots verts, gorgonzola and spiced walnuts tossed in port wine vinaigrette ($7).
But try the meaty lobster B.L.T.; this hefty sandwich, slathered with herb mayonnaise, topped with crisp applewood-smoked bacon and served on a brioche bun, was a delicious treat ($15).

Glenn was nice enough to fill in last minute as a judge for my second grade brownie bake off at St. James last June. He was great !! Best of luck to you guys. Thanks again.

But Im spoiled to many trips to Maine and New Hampshire I think it was close to 20 for the lobo sandwich there Geez i could get two whole lobos at Boondocks for that price on Tuesdays !
this place is beyond the level of good! i wish i could go there once a week to eat and spoil myself with the goods that glenn makes, congrats on the review guys and good luck with business!
We’re new in town and we love this place and it’s people. The food is amazing and I can feed myself and my 3 (messy!) kids without emptying my wallet. The best part is that everyone in there makes us all feel so welcome that it helps us feel like this is home.
So glad they’re getting the attention they deserve.
