Sixth-grader Theodore Mitchell addresses the Red Bank mayor and council as classmate and photojournalist Tyriik Murad documents the event.
Stumping for votes like seasoned pols, a handful of students from Red Bank Middle School last night screened their latest video at the borough council’s bimonthly meeting Monday night.
The musical production, entitled “e-Instruction Is The Key,” is the school’s entry in the third annual e-Instruction Interactive Classroom Makeover Competition, which draws talent from all over the world to compete for instructional technology worth $30,000.
For the third-year in a row, RBMS is among the competition’s finalists in the grades 6 through 8 category, which have been narrowed down to five entries. Whether it wins depends in part on how many votes it can attract in online balloting.
The production could use a boost. Of the five finalists, which also include entries from Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa and Lousisiana, RBMS’s is currently fifth in the vote tally.
You’ll need to register to vote.

These kids have done a great job. Please don’t forget to vote for them.
Get theses kids some votes !!!!!
Come on, y’all, we’ve got like half the views of some of the other schools (must admit I dig the Iowa submission, big coldplay fan).
There’s 12,000+ people in our town — Recruit some friends this holiday and get voting!!
I was at the council meeting the other night and viewed this vidio. It was AMAZING!!! Do yourself a favor and view it. Do the kids of Red Bank a favor and VOTE for it!!!
As always, Mr. Hurd and Mr. Ippolito have done a great job working with the kids. Please support them with your vote (and watch the RBMS band perform at the tree lighting - 6:45 on Friday, 11/27).
These kids are great ambassadors for our town. Some virtual applause for their accomplishments would be nice.
