From Shrewsbury PD, regarding an incident that occurred at noontime Friday, according to Chief Lou Ferraro:
A Long Branch man has been arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine with intent to distribute, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana with intent to distribute, Possession of Synthetic Marijuana, and Possession of drug paraphernalia.
Luis R. Gonzalez, Age 40, of Long Branch was stopped by Ptlm. Ralph Latham for a motor vehicle violation in the area of Sycamore Ave. and Silverbrook Rd. Subsequent investigation revealed that he was in possession of cocaine, marijuana and synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Gonzalez was held on $62,500.00 bail and logged in the Monmouth County Correctional Facility. Assisting in the investigation was Sgt. Michael Gallagher and Officer Jessica Boyd.
From Red Bank PD:
On Thursday, July 25 at approximately 12:45pm Ptl. Garrett Falco was on patrol when he observed a group of suspicious males on S. Pearl Street, possibly using narcotics. When Falco approached the individuals to investigate further, one of the subjects became uncooperative and attempted to flee the area. After a physical struggle, Falco was able to take the subject, Charles Wilson, 26, of Red Bank into custody.
Wilson was subsequently found to be in possession of various narcotics including marijuana, cocaine, and MDMA (commonly known as Molly). Wilson was charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession with Intent to Distribute, Possession within 1000 ft of a School Zone, Possession within 500 ft of a Public Park, Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, and Obstructing the Administration of Law.
Wilson’s bail was set at $233,500 and he was transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution.
