AUTHORITIES_LS2-2014January 1- Markies Wells, 28, of Red Bank, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Seven Bridges Rd. for an active Contempt of Court warrant out of the Ocean Township Municipal Court. P.O. Eric Van Schaack made the arrest.

January 6- A business owner from Oceanport Ave. reported Bad Checks after receiving a check from a customer that had insufficient funds. Sgt. Martin Scherzinger investigated.

January 8- A resident from North Lovett Ave. reported Fraud/Theft by Deception after receiving a phone call from a bogus business and made on-line payments to this company. P.O. Joseph Glynn, Jr. and Det. Greg Oliva investigated.

January 9- Kenneth Morris, Jr., 25, of Elberon, NJ, was arrested on Prospect Ave. for an active Contempt of Court warrant out of the Wall Township Municipal Court. P.O. Frank Salerno made the arrest.

January 9- A resident from Parker Ave. reported Attempted Fraud after receiving a phone call from an unknown person who was trying to get the victim’s personal information to access the victim’s bank accounts. P.O. Michael Lahey and Det. Greg Oliva investigated.

January 10- A resident from Megan Dr. reported Identity Theft after discovering that an unknown subject(s) opened a Verizon wireless account in the victim’s name. P.O. Eric Van Schaack and Det. Greg Oliva investigated.

January 11- Kevin Reed, 54, of Fair Haven, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Oceanport Ave. for an active Contempt of Court warrant out of the West Long Branch Municipal Court. P.O. Eric Van Schaack made the arrest.

January 14- A business owner from Oceanport Ave. reported Bad Checks after receiving a check from a customer that had a closed account. Sgt. Martin Scherzinger investigated.

January 15- A victim from Ridge Rd. reported Theft after discovering that their electronics were stolen sometime throughout the day. P.O. Robert Chenoweth investigated.

January 15- A victim from Ridge Rd. reported Theft after discovering that their I-pod had been stolen by an unknown subject(s). P.O. Robert Chenoweth investigated.

January 15- A victim from Ridge Rd. reported Criminal Mischief after discovering that an unknown subject(s) caused scratches to the victim’s vehicle that was parked. P.O. Eric Van Schaack and P.O. Robert Chenoweth investigated.

January 15- A victim from Ridge Rd. reported Theft after discovering that an unknown subject(s) stole the victim’s wallet sometime throughout the day. P.O. Robert Chenoweth investigated.

January 17- Maria Tavares, 31, of Long Branch, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Little Silver Point Rd. for an active Fugitive from Justice warrant out of the U.S. Customs and Immigration. P.O. Joseph Glynn, Jr. made the arrest.

January 20- Deborah Noce, 52, of Oceanport, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Branch Ave. for Driving While Intoxicated. P.O. Eric Van Schaack made the arrest.

January 21- Peter Garra, 31, of West Long Branch, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Church St. for an active Contempt of Court warrant out of the Allenhurst Municipal Court. P.O. Andrew Smith made the arrest.

January 21- Catalin Larotonda, 26, of Red Bank, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Branch Ave. for active Contempt of Court warrants out of the Long Branch and Tinton Falls Municipal Courts. P.O. Eric Van Schaack made the arrest.

January 27- Matthew Reynolds, 22, of Rumson, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Rumson Rd. for Driving While Intoxicated. P.O. Eric Van Schaack made the arrest.

January 29- A victim from Ridge Rd. reported Theft after discovering that an unknown subject(s) stole his cell phone sometime throughout the day. P.O. Robert Chenoweth investigated.

January 29- An employee from the Brave New World on Oceanport Ave. reported Shoplifting after an unknown male subject concealed clothing under his jacket and attempted to leave the store with it. The merchandise was recovered but the suspect fled the store prior to police arrival. P.O. Andrew Smith investigated.

January 30- A resident from Carriage House Ln. reported Harassment after receiving several unwelcomed text messages. P.O. Andrew Smith investigated.

January 30- Anthony Marino, 57, of Little Silver, NJ, was arrested on Branch Ave. for Driving While Intoxicated. P.O. Eric Van Schaack made the arrest.
