LITTLE SILVER’S GOT TALENT, IN SHREWSBURY

point_road_school_with_flowers-7822683Press release from the Education Foundation of Little Silver

The Education Foundation of Little Silver (EFLS) will hold its annual fundraiser, Little Silver’s Got Talent, on Friday, March 21 at the Shadowbrook in Shrewsbury.  Last year’s event, Dancing with the Stars, was a huge success, raising $60,000 for Little Silver’s school system.

This year, talented Little Silver residents have come forward to strut their stuff for the sake of technology in the classroom. for both Markham Place (middle school) and Point Road (elementary school).  While the school system focuses on funding foundational technology like our servers and network, the EFLS funds transformational equipment and software like SMART boards, SimCEO, special needs educational programs, and many other important items.

The event will feature talented amateurs, as well as teachers who will sing, dance, and share their talents — all competing for first place in the “talent show of the year.”

The talent lineup for Little Silver’s Got Talent is shaping up to be an exciting one.  Some of the acts brave enough to show off their ‘stuff’ include:

• A Collaboration of Dancers will perform their interpretation of a current radio anthem.

• A Rockin’ Mom Trio belts out their rendition of a recent hit.

• A Band of Troubadours plays authentic Irish tunes

• Our very own Teachers show off their rhythmic abilities

• A Singing Duo pays tribute to our local Jersey rock heroes

• A Little Silver Couple brings it with a bit of Broadway

• Two Moms display their gravity defying talent

• …and a Surprise Performance will get everyone out on the floor

It will be a fun night out for the Two River community, featuring a live/silent auction, dinner, adult beverages, and live entertainment.  For more information about the Education Foundation of Little Silver, and to purchase tickets to Little Silver’s Got Talent visit www.EFLS.org.
