Press release from Congregation B’Nai Israel
On Saturday, April 25, Congregation B’nai Israel in Rumson will be hosting a gala dinner dance to honor congregants and raise essential funds for the synagogue. The 7:30 pm Bene Fete will include cocktails, dinner, dancing, a silent auction and a raffle, and all those who want to help raise funds for the synagogue and pay tribute to the honorees are invited to attend.
“The honorees are Gloria and Gene Landy, Jody Woolley, Anne and David Zack and Stacey Rassas Klinge,” explained Harriet Straus, co-chair of the Bene Fete. “We wanted to honor members of our community, past, present and future. All of these honorees have contributed greatly to our synagogue by taking on leadership or fundraising positions, teaching in our schools or sitting on our Board of Trustees.”
Event co-chair Joel Weissglass hopes that congregants, alumni, neighbors and friends will attend the evening to mingle, drink, dance to a four piece band, and enjoy the sit-down dinner catered by Richfield Caterers. “We have great silent auction prizes, as well,” said Weissglass, “including sports tickets, a private tour of ESPN Studio, Broadway tickets and dinner, two nights in NYC and a vacation in Lake Tahoe.”
Tickets for the Bene Fete are $136 per person, with tickets for the raffle going for $10 each.
