Criminal Mischief: On 01/18/18 in the area of Marine Park it was reported that two white lighthouse power/ water stations were broken and thrown into the water. Also two gray plastic borough garbage cans were also thrown into the water and two swastikas were drawn on top of the snow and ice in the water. Each power station is valued at $8000.00 each and the garbage cans are valued at approximately $30.00 each. Ptl. Sean Hauschildt.

Theft: On 02-16-17 in the area of Catherine St the victim reported Chevrolet car keys attached with a remote for the vehicle and a diamond ring with a gold band was missing from the residence. The ring is valued at $500.00. Ptl. Sean Hauschildt.

Theft: On 02-20-17 in the area of Locust Ave the victim reported two solar lights were taken from the property. The solar lights are described as gray in color with a clear bulb valued at approximately $5.00 each. Ptl. Sean Hauschildt.

AUTHORITIES_LS2-2014January 1– Markies Wells, 28, of Red Bank, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Seven Bridges Rd. for an active Contempt of Court warrant out of the Ocean Township Municipal Court. P.O. Eric Van Schaack made the arrest.

January 6– A business owner from Oceanport Ave. reported Bad Checks after receiving a check from a customer that had insufficient funds. Sgt. Martin Scherzinger investigated.

January 8– A resident from North Lovett Ave. reported Fraud/Theft by Deception after receiving a phone call from a bogus business and made on-line payments to this company. P.O. Joseph Glynn, Jr. and Det. Greg Oliva investigated.

call-in-the-authorities• On September 21, 2011 at approximately 1:55 pm police responded to the Thassian Mechanical Contractors Business located on Highway 36 in reference to a report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival a witness advised officers that they had observed a subject attempting to pry his way into the building with a crow bar. The witness provided the officer with the suspect’s description which was broadcasted to patrols in the area.

Theft reported on 9-8-08 at Catherine St. Victim reported that unknown subject entered garage at residence and removed a bicycle and grass trimmer. Last time victim saw both items was approximately one week prior. Bike described as: 26” Trek 560, color purple with yellow writing. Weedwacker was a Homelite, red and black in color. Ptl. Nicholas Maletto.

Theft occurring at Mount St. on 9-9-08. Victim reported that while walking a male subject, described as white, 6’ tall male with blonde hair came up from behind her and stole two purses which were on her shoulder. Contents were cash, debit card, credit card, I.D., etc. There were four other subjects with the accused who all fled. Ptl. Ashon Lovick.

Theft occurring between 9-4-08 and 9-6-08 at Riverside Ave. Victim reported that unknown person entered locked safe in room that she was staying in and stole a diamond tennis bracelet. Ptl. James DePonte.
