Neither will happen this year. A referendum Broschart has been pushing for since July is not on the November 3 ballot. But Broschart says he’s perfectly fine with that.

Texas-style  barbecue isn’t often successful here on the Green, but we’d heard from several eaters around town about Broschart’s skills. So a few minutes later, we were making plans to meet up at Broschart’s house on Hudson Avenue.

HOT-TOPIC_03Sisters Ayca User and Zeynep Ozdemir were hours away from opening the doors to their French bakery on Monmouth Street in Red Bank when PieHole stopped in to find out what we can expect when Antoinette Boulangerie opens to the public on Friday morning.

The bakery was buzzing with dough mixers and we were engulfed in the smell of sweet pastries. Within seconds, we realized that PieHole‘s New Year’s Resolution to  “cut down on bread” did not stand a chance.

CLIPPINGS: THIS ONE BAKES THE CAKE

Later, she studied nutrition at Rutgers, and then attended Culinary Institute of America to become a pastry chef. Today, Roselle-Broschart’s specialty is cake decorating. Here, and in the video below, she is at work at Antoinette Boulangerie in Red Bank, where she lives with her husband, backyard beef-smoker Scott Broschart.
