RED BANK: CAROLINE HUNTER AT FORTUNE
February 23, 11:30 am to 1:00 pm
As part of its “An Out of Africa Experience”-themed Black History Month celebration, the T. Thomas Fortune Cultural Center hosts “She Found Her Voice & Changed the World: Caroline Hunter-Williams in Conversation with Gilda Rogers.”
The free event will be held in the Student Life Center at Brookdale Community College.
While working as a chemist at Polaroid in the 1970s, Hunter used her voice to start the movement of financial divestment of American corporations and universities in South Africa. She’ll be interviewed by Rogers, an award-winning journalist and history professor at Brookdale Community College who serves as the executive director of the Fortune Cultural Center.
The free event will be held in the Student Life Center at Brookdale.
