RED BANK: HOW TO WRITE A BOOK
November 11, 11:30 am to 1:30 pm
Whether you are working on your first or fifth draft of your novel, memoir, short story or essay collection, or just have an idea, we’d love to have you join us for the second in a series of workshops to foster our book writing community at Project Write Now.
Our second workshop is a panel discussion with two screenwriters and creative writers, Nancy Dillon and PWN instructor Lizbeth Finn-Arnold, moderated by PWN co-founder, board chair, and instructor Greg Phelan. The discussion will focus on the process of using a screenwriter’s technique called “beats” (along with more general outlining strategies) to heighten the emotional moments and propel the plot of your book forward, drawing upon their real-world experiences. We will also do useful exercises and provide resources for you to learn these super helpful techniques.
