RED BANK: JUNETEENTH AT TWO RIVER THEATER

In commemoration of Juneteenth, the T. Thomas Fortune Lecture Series presents Harvard University scholar Khalil Gibran Muhammad to discuss ‘The Black Press and the State of Democracy’ at the Two River Theater.
Muhammad, the former executive director of the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in New York, is the Ford Foundation Professor of History, Race, and Public Policy at the Kennedy School at Harvard University.
The luncheon, a fundraiser for the T. Thomas Fortune Cultural Center, also features a 3 p.m. matinee performance of “Two Sisters and a Piano,” by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Nilo Cruz.
