SHREWSBURY: LESSONS FROM THE CIVIL RIGHTS FIGHT

February 23, 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm

In celebration of Black History Month, Craig Uplinger discusses how Martin Luther King, Jr. and the participants in the fight for civil rights provide us lessons that love is greater than war and that lasting resolution can be found above every barrier. Jney and Mackenzie Uplinger will provide a musical interlude during the lecture.

Craig Uplinger is a teacher of United States History at Marlboro High School, and a James Madison Fellow and member of the Phi Alpha Theta National Historical Honor Society. Jney and Mackenzie Uplinger have performed locally with the Phoenix and Premier Theatre companies.
