ArtPop – A self-guided tour of Red Bank art venues

September 19
Free

ArtPop on Saturday, September 19th, is the new Red Bank self-guided walking tour where you can spend an exciting day exploring the arts in Red Bank. Twelve venues will be showing original paintings and sculpture, vintage posters, glass art, prints, new collage work, conservation framing, murals, pottery, and handmade artisanal goods. Venues start opening at 11.

The Amelchenko Gallery in the Galleria features contemporary art; Forge and The Red Bank Artisan Collective offer small-batch and handmade artisan goods. Red Bank FrameWorks carries interesting posters and prints, along with David Shrigley prints and a unique collection of colorful vintage planters. Dawn DiCicco of the ArtHive will be showing her new collages based on children’s book illustrations she found at a garage sale. At Squatter Potters, you’ll see a wheel-throwing demonstration.

Enjoy eclectic art from local, national, and international artists at Beacon Fine Arts. See “Feast,” the Monmouth Arts annual members’ exhibition at The Oyster Point Hotel, which is always open. Summer Deaver will be at the Monmouth Arts ArtSpace with her exhibit, “The Sun, My Heart.” The Art Alliance of Monmouth County will open a group exhibition and feature Kenny Schuyler’s sculpture in its windows. The Art Pod will show work by Colin Goodall, Mona Pollard, and Ellen Martin. Top off the day with Scott Harbison’s opening at Galerie Lucida from 6 to 8.

Local artist Michael White has created several murals in town and will be leading mural tours. Stay tuned for his schedule. Free parking is available at The Galleria and The Oyster Point Hotel. Metered parking is available throughout town. The event will take place rain or shine. Hope to see you.
