“FEED THE SOUL” PERFORMANCE/COMMUNITY MEAL

October 23, 2025, 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm

Creative OPERAtions is proud to present its 4th annual Feed the
Soul, a community performance and meal created to uplift and serve neighbors in need
while bringing people together through the shared joy of food, music, and compassion.
The event will take place on Thursday, October 23rd at 5:30 PM at the United
Methodist Church of Red Bank.
Founded by soprano and Artistic Director Corinne Schaefer, Feed the Soul is an
annual initiative that provides free, high-quality performances and delicious community
meals to local residents facing food insecurity. Inspired by the idea of nourishing both
body and soul, the program brings together professional artists, community performers,
restaurants, and nonprofits to create a welcoming space where everyone is valued.
“Feed the Soul is about so much more than music and meals,” said Corinne Schaefer,
Founder and Artistic Director of Creative OPERAtions. “It’s about connection, dignity,
and hope. I volunteer at BPC Food Pantry and JBJ Soul Kitchen, and every year I hear
from community members who look forward to this event—it reminds them that they
matter and that art and compassion belong to everyone.”
This year’s Feed the Soul will feature performances by professional musicians
alongside community artists, including dancers from the Calpulli Mexican Folk Dance
Company’s community classes through the Count Basie Center’s Turner Academy
of the Arts, who will open the evening. The program will include selections from opera,
Latin music, musical theater, and jazz, featuring singers Jonathan R. Green, Eliam
Ramos, Corinne Schaefer, and Edward Washington II, and musicians Marel
Hidalgo, David Maiullo, and Joseph Peterson.
Feed the Soul’s food sponsors this year include No Limits Café, Tino’s Mexican
Kitchen, The Greek Spot, Circus Foodtown, and Nick & Son’s Bakery, who are
generously donating meals for guests. The initiative is made possible by a grant from
The Apgar Foundation, with additional support from 3BR Distillery and BHHS Fox &
