Memorial Day Wreath Laying at Historic Cedar View Cemetery

On Sunday May 24th, The Friends of Cedar View will be hosting a Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Historic African American Cemetery, Cedar View Cemetery, Lincroft. We have 11 Civil War US Colored Troops buried at Cedar View along with over 200 African American who resided and helped to build Middletown and Monmouth County.
The Cemetery, which includes the grave of a formerly enslaved Civil War veteran who died in Red Bank, is located next to St. Leo’s on Hurley’s Lane and across from the Lincroft First Aid Squad.
It is always a nice service and a wonderful time to reflect on ALL who have served and sacrificed for our Country.
