RED BANK: BASIE LISTENING PARTY AT FORTUNE

The T. Thomas Fortune Cultural Center hosts a listening party for a new tribute album featuring the music of Red Bank’s own William ‘Count’ Basie.
Victor Pelote of the Institute of Jazz Studies at Rutgers Newark will guide attendees through the history of the tunes, rendered by artists including Jazzmela Horn, Talib Kweli, Terence Blanchard, the Soul Rebels and more.
