Julia Meunch’s first solo art exhibit, titled ‘In-Spiral-ed,’ is on display at Art Alliance of Monmouth County through July 21.
Muench uses her knowledge of visual art, photography, quilting and music composition in her original constructions, inspired by modern quilt art and her keen ability to observe the world around her. She chooses fabric and thread in the same way a painter chooses paint, and creates fiber-art paintings working in various types of fiber and mixed media. Her canvases burst out the traditional into the contemporary.
The gallery is open to the public from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays, and Sundays from noon to 6 p.m.
