The Basie Center Cinemas hosts a free screening of “The Hongkonger: Jimmy Lai’s Extraordinary Struggle for Freedom.”

The documentary tracks Lai, a billionaire-turned-pro-democracy dissident in Hong Kong. Lai’s friend and Hong Kong’s Apple News Daily columnist Simon Lee will be in attendance to host a post-viewing discussion and Q&A.
