CONCERT: “Requiem”, Shrewsbury Chorale Concert

The Shrewsbury Chorale announces the second concert of its current season, “Requiem” on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at 4:00 pm, at Tower Hill Church, 255 Harding Road, in Red Bank. Fiona Smith Sutherland will direct, with organ accompaniment by Kathleen Healy-Wedsworth. This Choral Festival of Michael John Trotta’s Requiem will feature both the 39 voice Shrewsbury Chorale and members of the Brick High School Chorus.
This new work juxtaposes chant and newly composed themes, and features soloists Jacqueline Quirk, Jeremy Lees, and Samantha Talmage. Also on the program will be shorter works by Thomas Tallis, Felice Anerio, Benjamin Britten, and others, including the beautiful choral version of Howard Goodall’s theme from the The Vicar of Dibley. The Shrewsbury Chorale will also be performing the Trotta Requiem on Memorial Day at Carnegie Hall!
