Some homes and businesses served by the Jersey Central Power & Light substation on Ridge Road in Fair Haven are again without power after enduring a more than five hours without juice yesterday.
We don’t know the number affected, or the geographic extent of the outages. But Mayor Mike Halfacre tells redbankgreen:
There are sporadic power outages. Not the whole town, there are also wires down at Hance and River, JCP&L is investigating.
The impacts on the east side of Red Bank, Little Silver and Rumson aren’t yet known. A Harrison Avenue, Red Bank resident tells us his power is on at this hour.
Just moments ago (4:33p), we heard a police radio transmission about the traffic light at Harding Road and Spring Street being out.
At 4:45, the light at Rumson Road and Seven Bridges Road was reported out.
Jersey Central Power & Light’s outage map shows 2,000 to 5,000 customers without power in Fair Haven and 500 to 2,000 in Red Bank.
