MAN IN CRITICAL CONDITION AFTER STABBING

By DUSTIN RACIOPPIjust_in1

A Long Branch man is in critical condition after being stabbed “numerous times” on Red Bank’s West Side early this morning, police said in statement.

No arrests have been made after Ja’Sheem Eyem-Supreme Allah, also known as Sean Stovall, 38, was assaulted and stabbed in an altercation in the parking lot of the Bates Lodge on Shrewsbury Avenue just after midnight, police said.

The incident occurred after a party at the lodge, Captain Darren McConnell told redbankgreen. He did not say how many suspects police are searching for.

When police arrived on the scene, McConnell said Stovall was critically injured, lying in the parking lot.

“The scene was not what we consider out of control,” he said, adding that there were several witnesses.

Police had initially searched for a sports car — likely a blue Ford Mustang — that had left the scene, but McConnell said he’s not sure if the people in the car were involved.

Here’s the full text of RBPD’s statement:

A Long Branch man was critically injured early Saturday morning during an altercation at the Bates Lodge on Shrewsbury Avenue. Ja’sheem Eyem-Supreme Allah, also known as Sean Stovall, 38 years old of Long Branch, was physically assaulted and stabbed numerous times in the parking lot of the lodge at approximately 12:13 am. Responding police officers and emergency personnel found the victim critically injured and he was transported to the trauma unit at Jersey Shore Medical Center, where he is currently in critical condition.
Police are following several leads and are asking anyone with information to contact Inv. Juan Sardo or Capt. Darren McConnell who are investigating the incident.
