For the second time in 11 days, law enforcement officers used a helicopter and police boat in a search of the Navesink River between Red Bank and Middletown Tuesday morning.

A spokesman for the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s office was not immediately available to comment on whether the search, like the prior one, was related to the disappearance of 26-year-old Viridiana Beltran-Gomez.

The 26-year-old Red Bank woman disappeared after leaving her job at Siena Grill on Shrewsbury Avenue on May 12. She was reported missing to Red Bank police the following day.

Relatives describe Beltran-Gomez as a fair-skinned Latina, about five-feet-two-inches tall and weighing 115 pounds with dyed blonde hair and hazel eyes. Authorities said she is believed to have last been with her estranged husband, Oscar Enrique Prior-Ramirez of Eatontown.

Through a colleague, Assisant Prosecuctor Chris Gramiccioni told redbankgreen Tuesday that “there are no additional updates” on the Beltran-Gomez case.

Asked if they were searching for a body, an officer aboard a State Police boat replied “yes” as it passed beneath Hubbards Bridge.
