RBR Division 1 Signing Day
Red Bank Regional proudly celebrated an exceptional group of student-athletes on Tuesday, November 12, as they committed to continuing their academic and athletic journeys at the collegiate level. This milestone is especially noteworthy, as fewer than 2% of high school athletes go on to compete at an NCAA Division I school.
The entire RBR community applauds these remarkable students and the choices they’ve made. Congratulations to the following athletes:
- Maya Freeman – Duquesne University, Swimming
- Katherine Kramer – University of Oklahoma, Rowing
- Gabe Pape – Boston University, Lacrosse
- Anna Petersen – College of the Holy Cross, Track
- Karlie Ruland – University of Rhode Island, Lacrosse
- Nora Tavares – George Washington University, Lacrosse
- Amira Washington – Howard University, Swimming
NY Jets Partnership, Culinary Club Collaboration & the Game Changing Bucs
The Game Changing Bucs continue to redefine what it means to be a student-athlete; focusing not only on performance but on mental strength, resilience, and leadership.
On November 4, the group visited the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center, where the New York Jets and the U.S. Center for Mental Health & Sport hosted a workshop to support and strengthen RBR’s mental-health initiatives for athletes. Students in attendance earned certification to help identify and assist teammates who may need additional support. RBR is at its best when we lift each other up, and we are extremely proud of the students who participate in this important work.
On November 19, the RBR Culinary Club teamed up with the Game Changing Bucs for a hands-on nutrition collaboration. This talented group of “culinary geniuses” created healthy snack alternatives built around the motto:
“Real Food Creates Real Energy = Really Great Performance.”
Ingredients included nutrient-dense whole foods such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, oatmeal, and oat flour. A big thank-you to the Culinary Club for inspiring our athletes with delicious and nourishing options. Go Bucs!
Seniors Triumph in Girls’ Intramural Football Game
The annual RBR Girls’ Intramural Flag Football Game took place on a cold, windy evening on Thursday, November 13. The Senior class faced off against the Juniors and came out victorious with a 28–7 win.
Under the astute leadership of Head Coach Donohoe, the Class of 2026 delivered a standout defensive performance, grabbing three interceptions. It was a spirited night filled with teamwork, school pride, and plenty of fun for everyone involved.
