The cause of a fire in an outdoor trash compactor at Riverview Medical Center yesterday afternoon is under investigation.
A closer look shows the orange glow of the fire inside.
The Asbury Park Press reports that the fire “was quickly distinguished” not to mention extinguished.
Laura Pollio, a spokeswoman for the hospital, told the Press that the fire posed no threat to patients and visitors.
