Friday’s Veterans Day salutes – including one at the Veterans Monument at 51 Monmouth Street in Red Bank at 11 a.m. – are likely to be held under sunny skies amid gusty winds as we head into a sunny and mild weekend.

Here’s the forecast for the next few days and beyond:

Veterans Day: Sunny, with a high near 52. Breezy, with a west wind between 17 and 24 mph, with gusts as high as 39 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 36. West wind between 8 and 15 mph.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 58. West wind between 9 and 18 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 44. West wind between 5 and 9 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 60. Southwest wind between 6 and 11 mph.
