FAIR HAVEN: Fair Haven’s Raven and the Peach is the setting for a special fundraiser dedicated to the animal adoption charity Project Animal Worldwide (PAW), with light fare, desserts, gift basket auctions, jewelry bar and a tasting presented in the restaurant’s wine cellar from 7 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $30, with the wine tasting for an additional $15. RED BANK: The Elvii return, for the ninth annual edition of what’s become an unshakably shakin’ Basie tradition, Elvis’ Birthday Bash. Soaps actor Scot Bruce (as the younger Elvis) and award winning Mike Albert (as the Vegassy jumpsuit Elvis) team up once again for a Count Basie two-fer at 8 p.m. Tickets are $19.50, $29.50, and $39.50. RED BANK: Gallery U hosts the latest in a series of monthly spoken-word reading events at its Broad Street location — this one featuring the work of Tony Ciavolella, Dawn Ciccone, Joan Gavornik and Gallery U’s own Robert Langdon from 8 to 10 p.m. Light refreshments served. 80 Broad Street.

SHREWSBURY: The Eastern Branch of the Monmouth County Library in Shrewsbury hosts “Happy Hour: Creating Happiness Every Hour of Your Life” at 10 a.m. Certified Professional Leadership Coach Erica Loren leads a free presentation on how ‘Happiness is an inside job and how we go about it can reveal such awesomeness that only you can create.’ 1001 Route 35 North.

SHREWSBURY: The Monmouth County Library’s Eastern Branch invites kids of all ages to “come to the library in comfy clothes, bring your blanket, pillow and favorite stuffed friend” as you snuggle in and read together, with all invited to drop in between 11am and 1pm for Family Fun Winter Reading Wonderland. 1001 Route 35 North.

RED BANK: The Avice Noblett Children’s Room at Red Bank Public Library invites kids ages 5 and older to learn about contemporary artist, painter, and quilter Faith Ringgold and create their own masterpieces in her style at 2 p.m. Registration is required for this free program. 84 West Front Street.

LITTLE SILVER: The students of the Visual and Performing Arts Academy at Red Bank Regional High School present ‘A Blast from the Past’ at 2 p.m., with 23 dances choreographed to the music of the Beatles, Michael Jackson, Queen, Madonna and more. Tickets ($10 for adults, $5 for students and seniors) are available at the door. 101 Ridge Road.

LINCROFT: The Monmouth Museum hosts the 34th annual Juried Exhibition, a showcase of regional talent in all genres and media. Reception from 4 to 6 p.m. The exhibit continues during regular gallery hours through March 3. Tickets are $7 (MCAC members as well as BCC staff and students are free). 765 Newman Springs Road.

RED BANK: Red Bank’s Monmouth Conservatory of Music hosts a special program of solo selections by some of MCM’s top piano, flute and violin students, as well as a performance by the Student Orchestra at 4 p.m. There is a $20 suggested donation (MCM students and under those under the age of 18 are free). 50 White Street.

RED BANK: The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra returns to Red Bank (with Jaques Lacombe at the podium, and guest trumpeter Garth Greenup) for an 8 p.m. program spotlighting Beethoven’s lyrical Pastoral Symphony, as well as signature works by Haydn and Brahms. LITTLE SILVER: Sickles Market hosts Nancy Aufiero in an 11 a.m. demonstration of the steps and techniques to creating a mosaic stepping stone, a unique piece of garden art that is beautiful and functional. Space is limited and advance registration plus $25 admission is required. 1 Harrison Avenue.
