How to get an EDGE? That is what teens in grades 6 to 12 ask every day. Beneath their camouflage of cool confidence is a hunt for an Edge in their classes, activities, sports, friendships, and even their social networks.
The good news is that they can start getting an amazing EDGE by joining other area students in a Youth Hang Out Room at First Baptist Church of Red Bank. The EDGE is a new group that meets on Thursday nights from 7 to 8:30 pm — and for teens who are wanting to find more in their lives, it’s an encouraging place to start.
Each week at 84 Maple Avenue, Junior and Senior High students can hit upon new answers to today’s problems. In that hour and a half, Youth Director Cody Haggard creates a safe place where all make trustworthy friends that get together for lots of games, discussion, and fun.
