RBC MUTES PALMER PARTY

After being held scoreless for two quarters, Red Bank Regional’s Sadiq Palmer finally notched his 1,000th career point Tuesday, finishing the night with 12 against rival Red Bank Catholic and joining an elite club of 15 RBR hoopsters to pass that milestone. But the Caseys got the homecourt win, 51-40, on strong play by junior Terrence Calandrillo, who scored 15.  Shore Sports Zone was there with its video cameras to catch the action.

RBR BOYS END COLTS NECK WIN STREAK

Red Bank Regional’s Ben Sprauer sank two free throws with 10 seconds to go to help RBR score a 48-45 win at Colts Neck Thursday. RBR sophomore Devin Cooper led all scorers with 20, and Sadiq Palmer fouled out just one point shy of 1,000, which he’ll go for next Tuesday against Red Bank Catholic.
