RFH LACROSSE EARNS FIFTH TITLE

The Boys Lacrosse team at Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School won its fourth consecutive Shore Conference Tournament title, a feat that gives the squad a record-setting total of five SCT championships.

As the tournament’s top-seeded team, they defeated number two seed Southern with a score of 17-10 on May 13 at Monmouth University.

No other team has won as many championships during the 10-year history of the SCT. The RFH Bulldogs also own the greatest number of consecutive SCT championship wins.

High-scoring seniors included midfielder Chris Hubler (four goals, one assist), midfielder Chris Sutphen (three goals), attackman Dominic Padula (three goals, one assist), and attackman Colin Shea (two goals, two assists). RFH senior goalie Bryce Metzger made ten saves.

Flanked by proud parents and supportive coaches, eleven student-athletes from Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School recently took a significant step toward turning their dreams of playing on a college sports team into reality.

After being recruited by sports programs and making verbal commitments to colleges and universities, the students “sealed the deal” by signing their letters of intent in the RFH Library on November 20.
