RFH CHEERS JAEGER TO OLYMPIC SILVER IN RIO

jaeger rfh 081316 7jaeger rfh 081316 4An audience of about 100 kids and adults showed up at Rumson-Fair Haven Regional to watch and cheer as alumnus Connor Jaeger — class of 2010 — swam in the 1500-meter men’s freestyle final at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil Saturday night. Competing in his second consecutive Olympics, Jaeger finished second in the event, but gave proud local fans a thrill in the process. “Knowing that you guys are here has a huge impact,” 2000 Olympics swimmer Tom Wilkens, a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy, told the crowd before the race.  (Photos by John T. 2 intoxicated juvenile males; 1 from Rumson and the other from Fair Haven were arrest for disorderly conduct by S.O. Reevey.

A report was taken for vandalism to a bench at a baseball field in the Borough. Sgt. Lambert took the report.
