Shoppers searched the yards of their neighbors collectible-littered lawns in pursuit of their perfect possessions Saturday during the sixth annual Red Bank Townwide Yard Sale.
It is a beautiful day, and people love a good bargain, said Friends of the Red Bank Public Library President Beth Hanratty.
Newspaper publisher Diane Gooch is asking for a recount after an apparent loss in the Republican primary for the 6th district to Highlands Mayor Anna Little. according to various reports.
Little, with Tea Party backing an only a fraction of millionaire Gooch’s campaign treasury declared victory Wednesday after a vote tally from Tuesday’s balloting showed her leading Gooch by 105 votes, the Asbury Park Press reported.
Later in the day, the Star-Ledger said 79 votes separated the two candidates, and that Gooch would seek a recount.
Two River Times publisher Diane Gooch plans to file papers today declaring her candidacy for Congress in a district she doesn’t reside in, a plugged-in Republican reports on his blog.
The vice chair of the Monmouth County GOP plans to take on sixth-district Democrat Frank Pallone, says Art Gallagher, who got the news straight from Gooch herself.
