MEN’S CLUB POSTS CAPTURE REWARD

Suspect1

An anonymous donor, acting through the Red Bank Men’s Club, has posted a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of Anthony Sims Jr., wanted in connection with last month’s shooting at Montgomery Terrace that left two brothers wounded, one of them gravely.

Here’s the full text of an announcement from club president Jay Ham:

In the late 1940Â’s a group of men living in Red Bank formed a social club and on February 11, 1949 was incorporated by the State of New Jersey.

The purpose for which the corporation was formed was to foster the highest type of social relations among its members and the community; to furnish a period of relaxation and enjoyment as a relief from the routine duties of its members; to present a united front in the promotion and advancement of any cause considered worthy by the majority of its members.

Throughout the years, the Club has given financial support to College bound students, the Red Bank Little League, Red Bank Police Crime Prevention Program, Churches and other organizations.

The Red Bank Men’s Club realizes that there is much more work to be done and as the years go by our efforts will be strengthened as we strive toward our goal: “Service to the Community”.

The Red Bank MenÂ’s Club and a donor who wishes to remain anonymous are offering a $1,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and capture of Anthony Sims Jr. Sims is wanted for three counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. These charges stem from the November 26, 2007 shooting of two men in Montgomery Terrace, Red Bank, NJ. Sims is to be considered armed and dangerous and is not to be approached. Anyone with information concerning SimsÂ’ location should call the Red Bank Police Department at 732-530-2700.

We support and commend the Red Bank Police Department in their efforts to keep Red Bank a safe place to live and grow.

Information may also be give to the police anonymously via the department’s Tips Line at 732.450.9704.
