At St. James RC Church this morning, members of the Red Bank Fire Department, including Chief Noel Blackwood, in long coat at right, saluted the casket of longtime volunteer and borough councilman John T. ‘Jack’ Illmensee, who died Friday at age 72.

The funeral cortege, led by a truck from Liberty Hose Co., was scheduled to proceed past Illmensee’s home on the east side of town before heading into Middletown for a burial service.
