FLOWER SHOW TO MARK END OF SUMMER
Shorter days, cooler temperatures, campus-bound cars loaded down like Okie jalopies: the summer, it seems, is hurtling toward the finish line.
Further proof: the Navesink Garden Club is preparing for its 14th annual swan song to summer.
Scheduled for Tuesday, September 16, the ‘Summer’s Last Hurrah’ show will spotlight annuals, perennials, roses and herbs grown by local garden club members.
Also on display: floral designs by local designers, and educational exhibits on native plants.
Entries will be judged by nationally accredited flower show judges.
The show, which is free and open to the public, will be held at the Trinity Episcopal Church auditorium on White Street in Red Bank from 1:30 to 3p. For more information, call 732.291.5344.
