POLICE REPORT HEROIN BUST

Red Bank Police arrested a Leighton Avenue man on heroin possession and other charges last week, they’re reporting today.

Anthony Dixon, 39, was already under investigation for suspicion of drug distribution when he was stopped for a possible motor vehicle infraction at Clinton Avenue and Newman Springs Road at about 4:30p on Friday, according to Sgt. Eliot Ramos, the department’s acting spokesman.

In the course of the stop, Sgt. Michael Frazee and Det. Robert Clayton found approximately 90 glassine bags of suspected heroin, with an estimated street value of more than $1000, as well as a small amount of marijuana.

In addition, $639.00 in cash was seized, Ramos said.

Dixon was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a CDS and one count of possession with intent to distribute.

Municipal Court Judge William Himelman set bail at $22,500, according to Ramos.
