Today’s Press has a brief item on a code-red search for a missing four-year-old Rumson boy that ended an hour later when the child was found asleep in a closet in his own home.
Police used an infrared camera to find the boy after he’d been reported missing in the Ward Lane and Rumson Road area of the borough, Chief Richard Tobias said.
Police activated the Code Red emergency alert system to alert residents to look out for the missing child. A search was conducted by the Rumson Police, Fire Department, Emergency Medical Services, and police officers from Fair Haven, Little Silver, Sea Bright, Tinton Falls canine unit, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and local residents.
