And now, the cleanup.
Yesterday’s snowfall left several inches of glistening white stuff to be removed from streets and sidewalks by conscientious citizens and their local governments.
Though the mercury may rise to the mid-30s at today’s peak, the effort will take place in below-freezing temperatures made to feel colder by winds of 8 to 14 mph, says the National Weather Service.
Here’s the forecast:
Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 18. North wind between 14 and 17 mph.
Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 26. Northwest wind between 14 and 17 mph.
Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 18. West wind around 10 mph.
Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 38. West wind between 9 and 11 mph.
Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 28.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 44.
Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 36.
Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 48.
Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 37.
Monday: Sunny, with a high near 45.
Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 31.
