OVER THE MIDDLE: FIRM TACKLES CHREBET
Looks like downtown Red Bank is about to get a little bit more green New York Jets green.
Wayne Chrebet, a former receiver famous for making third-and-long catches in heavy traffic, has joined the Linden Place office of Morgan Stanley, the firm announced today.
Chrebet, who lives in Colts Neck, is one of six financial advisors in the office’s Moldaver Group, which handles wealth management for high net worth clients.
A Jersey guy (Garfield High School), Chrebet was a 1995 walk-on from Hofstra who became a favorite of Jets fans for his ability to make catches over the middle and hold onto the ball after punishing hits.
He suffered several concussions, though, which ended his playing career after 11 seasons. He later went into the horseracing business.
Here’s the press release.
