OUTLOOK: RAIN GARDEN MAY GET ITS FILL

Library garden1The garden, the result of work and materials donated by Siciliano Landscaping, Molzon Garden Center and the Navesink Garden Club, is irrigated by the library's rain gutters. 

A new rain garden at the Red Bank Public Library could be in for a good soaking over the next few days.

Library garden2The National Weather Service forecast looks like this:

Today: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 7am,
then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 7am and noon, then a
chance of thunderstorms after noon. Some of the storms could produce
small hail and gusty winds. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. East
wind 5 to 8 mph becoming west. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New
rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Tonight: A chance of thunderstorms before 9pm, then a chance of
showers and thunderstorms between 9pm and midnight. Some of the storms
could produce small hail and gusty winds. Mostly cloudy, with a low
around 60. West wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New
rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts
possible in thunderstorms.

Saturday: A slight chance of
showers after 3pm. Partly cloudy, with a high near 78. Northwest wind
between 6 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday Night: A
slight chance of showers before 2am. Partly cloudy, with a low around
58. West wind between 5 and 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 74. West wind between 6 and 16 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 56.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 75.

Monday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tuesday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 79. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 57.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 74.

Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 57.

Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 71. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
