Here’s what she had to say under our story on Lou del Pra’s first year as athletic director at Red Bank Regional High, an interview in which we asked about low participation levels among Red Bank kids in school sports:
Del’s work in Red Bank’s Parks and Rec showed an extraordinary understanding of the unique challenges that many Red Bank children face in trying to participate in extra-curricular and athletic programs. His dedication toward addressing these issues is a big part of what makes having him at RBR such a plus. David Prown is our number one advocate for kids here. We’ve had many discussions about the staggering number of kids who had been involved in Middle School programs in town and don’t get involved at the high school level. I’m very excited to see these two dedicated men working for our kids and I’m hopeful that, with their help, the numbers will continue to improve. We should all be grateful that we have such dedicated individuals here in Red Bank.
