Red Bank police and Monmouth County authorities are looking into the cause of death of a 32-year-old borough man whose body was found in the White Street municipal parking lot Sunday night.
Homicide has been ruled out as the cause of death of the Leighton Avenue resident, whose name is being withheld out of respect for his family, said Capt. Steve McCarthy.
Authorities have not ruled out suicide, he said.
According to McCarthy, family members hadn’t been able to get in touch with the victim and went looking for him. They found him unresponsive in his car in the lot and called police at 8:40p, McCarthy said.
The man was deceased when police arrived, McCarthy said.
An autopsy was conducted earlier today and results are pending, McCarthy says.
