Last week‘s challenge, showing “Stop” and “End of Road” signs at a riverbank, was noteworthy for the variety of answers it generated.

Two readers thought our photo was taken next to Sallee Tee’s Grille in Monmouth Beach.

One reader pegged it for Maple Cove, at the Navesink River end of Maple Avenue in Red Bank, while another said the Navesink end of Fair Haven Road in Fair Haven.

Two others ventured that it might be at or near the eastern end of Little Silver Point Road in Little Silver.

Somebody else said a water access site in Oceanport.

The correct answer (drumming on an overturned kayak, here, please):

Avenue of Two Rivers South, in Rumson, which we were surprised to learn is not contiguous with the rest of Avenue of Two Rivers.
