Mario Mazzeo of Lite Brite Signs in West Long Branch reaches through the R while doing maintenance work on the neon sign of Red Bank Professional Pharmacy on Broad Street earlier this week.

Mazzeo, who specializes in neon signs, says the drug store’s 30-plus-year-old sign, with its exposed tubes, is among the last of a vanishing breed. (Click to enlarge)
