The sunshine has to go away at some point, right?
Well, forecasters say today is the day. Clouds and rain are expected to roll in sometime around noon, and will last through Thursday, says the National Weather Service.
After that, well, you all can get back to beach-bumming, or rowing, or biking, or whatever is your summertime respite.
Here’s what the NWS has to say for the rest of the week:
Today: Rain likely and possibly a thunderstorm, mainly after noon. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Increasing clouds, with a high near 80. Northeast wind around 7 mph becoming southeast. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Tonight: Rain likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Cloudy, with a low around 66. East wind around 6 mph becoming north. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Thursday: A chance of showers before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 83. North wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 67. Southwest wind between 3 and 6 mph.
Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 88.
Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 68.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 83.
Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68.
