A second house fire in Red Bank in less than six hours displaced two families early Friday night.
The blaze tore through 97 Linden Place, causing extensive fire damage and resulting in smoke and water damage to an attached home at 95 Linden.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire, to which volunteer emergency personnel responded by 6:15p.
Information about a possible cause was not immediately available.
The fire followed a 12:45p two-alarm blaze that destroyed a home on Bank Street.
It also occurred less than 30 minutes before the start of the annual downtown tree lighting and Holiday Express concert, in which many of the firefighters and other emergency responders serve as volunteers.
