An Oceanport woman was arrested for credit card theft and making fraudulent purchases at local stores, Little Silver police said.
On Wednesday, police arrested Ursula Pappas, 36, for her alleged crimes as an employee at a Little Silver business.
Pappas, as a cashier at the unidentified store, obtained a credit card from a customer and didn’t return it, said Detective Sergeant Dan Shaffery. She then used the card to buy gift cards at her store and made purchases at another local business while on her break, he said.
Little Silver police arrested Pappas after nearly a two-week investigation for theft of a credit card and theft for fraudulent purchases made and/or attempted with the stolen card.
Shaffery said a court date is pending.
